Sharing your knowledge
« on: May 13, 2010, 08:29:12 PM »
Would be nice if people would start to share some of thier knowledge on here.  I  had to go to another web site to find out some reloading things out... We need to have PPHA members  come here and ask here and find out here....
At alot of views being done but we need more comments and or replies to many of the needed how to questions.
Remember we are predator callers...We need to make sure this stuff is passed on...So many poor souls will take this stuff to their grave with them...

I have nothing to share UB. I got told of by a member that said that I didn't have the right to give advice because he didn't think I was a good enough hunter. So, ever since BW told me that, I haven't gave no advice or stories. Sorry.

P77 you can give me advice anyday.  I wish I had a nickel everytime I heard that about myself.  I am a firm believer that we can learn from everyone.  Those that think not in my opinion have closed minds and think they are better than everyone else.

UB, I don't re-load either.  It is possible that we have nothing to offer you on that subject.  I hear what you are saying though.
"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

For ballistics on your caliber rifle go to JBM Ballictics.com on the net.

Ask him to hunt here. In the west where ground hog hunters shoot every fox they see.
Don't let one mans opinion, change your beliefs. I have learned very much here. I have not missed with a shotgun since the story where UB, said to aim low. I did miss one last week at 70 yards, with a small caliber rifle.
I seen I clearly missed. It ran off leaving a short mellow howl for a long distance. I'm thinking it was trying to get back with its mate.
As far as load data, if someone gives a wrong load there could be serious consequences.
But all other information, will keep this board alive.

Ah reloading......Good outdoor thing to do with your kids...Did this with both my daughter and son...Was so nice to have my son kill a buck at 16 years old with a reload he did.
Daughter can go into any hunting store and buy me reloading stuff...She does not hunt but she understands all the aspects of reloading...Nice to get a Fathers Day or Christmas Gift from her and it 17 Rem brass,  CCI small Rifle Primers,,, Red Dot Powder, IMR 4350 powder. She is now 37 years old....
I kind of used the Reloading info as an example....What I was really trying to do was to suggest to members if they are going to learn anything about predator hunting learn it here...Don't go to other sites and post things there and just come here to read.  Many times I will see people with the same log in names on other hunting sites and predator hunting sites...They are posting away about this and that about hunting and predator calling...Then they visit here and all you see is there name at the bottom of the screen just visiting this forums...
