It is the CZ 527  17 Hornet.  I have to agree with you, it is a beautiful piece of wood it's on. I've seen a few others that look close but not quite the same markings.

I take it you're head shooting all these critters?... when I was shooting up there with the 22 hornet it was all head shots but we didn't get the blood you're getting... but we were laded way down too... that 17 is getting it done... I need to get out and shoot something with mine, just put a different scope on it, Vortex 3X12X44, a little more power then what I had {3X9X50} Bushnell Trophy...
