Cats?
« on: November 20, 2013, 12:13:00 AM »
Night after night that I'm out calling, cats have come flying into the call sometimes two at a time.
I can be close to a barn yard of out in the middle of nowhere and here comes a cat!
Anybody else experiencing cats coming to the call?

That's a lot of cats Bee's. I'm not seeing those kinds of numbers, just one or two every third stand is about my average.

I'm pretty sure your not supposed to shoot cats! It's probably against the law.

My interpretation of the game laws is ...if there is no season or bag limit listed...you can't kill it,

A good many farms I've been given permission to hunt on with a caveat that I assist with eliminating the feral cats. If the owner of the property "employs" you to decimate the cats you're legal to do so. PA laws on domesticated animals is sketchy at best. People care more for animals than people. I am more than happy to help farmers out with this problem lol.

Yes, weird, I have called in more cats that ever before this year so far.  The ones I call in come in real slow and I can tell instantly the way they act.  I have three of my own cats so I never shoot a cat but it is very true...they are awful and probably should be shot if wild.

I called in the same cat two times this season already, also seen it in early archery season. I think it's wild but there is a neighborhood not far from where Im hunting.

Well cat's are a problem..but remember this, you don't know if it's someone's pet..if you want to help the anti's just go ahead and pull the trigger. If you are found out, you along with the rest of us, will be prominently featured on the 6 o'clock news....like the individual who shot someone's dog with a bow and it got home to mom ...nice news clip for channel 8.....JMO... 8)

Yep, get a good number of cats coming in.

Figure its a good policy to never shoot them, you're never too far from a house here in Mont Co. Don't want to kill some kid's pet.
