Guy shoots a deer, guts it, tags it and goes to get someone to help or goes for vehicle to to take the trophy out and they come back and the Pa coyotes are already there eating his prize kill. I have heard this story a few times by different deer hunters..
Wonder if coyotes can smell the kill from hundreds of yards away? Pa Turkey Vulture has this ability...So does sharks...Why not the Pa Eastern Coyotes?
