Letting the Cat out...
« on: September 11, 2017, 05:57:00 AM »
Our Cat goes outside every day.
I usually let her out before sun up. I always scan the backyard with Red Lens, Carnivore 5.
This morning I saw two sets of eyes way in the backyard. We have a mated pair of Greys that hang around.
I made kissing sounds on the back of my hand and Here they Come.
Female came straight in while the Male veered to the right.
I had to stop the Female before she came into the back door. Our Cat was lying on the patio, watching.
Female stopped 7 yards, Male stopped 35 yards. I stepped outside and spooked them away.
Our Cat chased the Female Grey into cover and out of sight.

*While I was typing this, I stopped about the 4th or 5th sentence and scanned the backyard for our Cat.
The pair of Greys are back in the middle of the yard and I once again 'kissed' them into close range.
This cool weather (42 degrees) and fur running around can fire a man up...lol.

Distemper wiped 'em out around here, several years ago. Coon rebounded, but it took Greys longer.
Been watching this pair for a year or two.
We haven't seen their pups yet.
I like the Grey's color. Red, Orange, White, Black, Salt & Pepper.
But I like a December Red Fox (on snow) too.
