Do ground squirrels count?

;) 1 Ground Grizz Wed Night and 3 Tonight  ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) 60-70 yds shots.. :P :P :P

what are you shooting all these beasties with?... at those ranges it should be the Hornet...

I'm on second shift this month.  That doesn't give me any time in the evenings to get out.....  I'm going through withdrawal!

what's wrong with the mornings?... with all the humidity Goose is complaining about all the time, they ought to be out licking dew off the vegetation, and eating...  oh yeah and thanks for keeping the vigilant work schedule up as I too appreciate your contributions to the SS fund...   ;D 8) 8)

Jake, I see 'em out by 9am, at the back of our property.

We had a 10 minute rainfall this evening and I shot one right after the rain stopped. 35 yards.

I finally was able to make it out yesterday to shoot some ground hogs.  I had one of the best days ever.  I had hogs everywhere.   Lots of pups this year.  Many holes had 3-4 pups coming out.  I had to quit shooting at 17 kills.....  I ran out of ammo!!!

I had recently purchased a Savage 223.  I put a Leupold VX 3  CDS scope on it and wanted to see how it did.  I killed one ground hog at 400 yards,  3 at 300 yards and numerous around the 200-250 yard range.  I'm happy with that.   I had 3 misses.   I was using Hornady 40 gr VMax.
