Moon Phase

I am asking this question to all predator hunters old or new at this sport. In the 10 years I have been calling I never do any good on full moon or 2-3 nights before, is it just me or do some of you have a hard time.

I never liked to hunt in the full moon, but my son says we do better on full moon nights, early and late... so the past couple of years I have taken notice..   we do really good just after sunset and right before sunrise when the moon is at it lowest points..

I never had much luck on full moon nights when the moon is up.  However, You don't have to stop hunting on full moon nights.  Simply wait until the moon drops.  This is often very early in the morning.  I have much better luck then.  That is if I can stay awake or wake up that early.  Lol.

 ;) ;) I love hunting full moon nights with a complete snow covering and I'm all in white camo....you do not need lights  ;) ;) ;) just my 2¢

IMO early season wear gray clothes. I like Predator Brand Fall Gray. This is the time only to hunt by yourself or with someone who follows strict guide lines.
Over snow .. no problem during full moon. White snow camo works but you should stand in front of something. Tree brush etc.

 :) I'm with Goose on this one  :) Terrific time to be in the woods  :) Back in the 60's you didn't have much commotion after the Moon came up so you could just go out.  ;D Later as development arrive I changed to going out after 10pm when human activity would quiet down  ::) If you learned this method back in the day you will get  into trouble  :P  with the newer lights on people as you are inclined to use your light sparingly even though you can now afford batteries...lol...I never wore white or anything just stayed in the shadows  ;) had a 2 cell flashlight,a single shot .22 and a Burnham Brothers call with a rubber band. I sometimes could get a fox or two by crossing over the tops of snow covered fields and looking down into the little ravines between them.  ;D ;D They would be in there hunting rabbits which were in great abundance in those days.  ;D..............Everything is very different now that's for sure..........stick to the edges and shadows and go slow.... 8)
