fishing line
« on: March 02, 2015, 07:04:43 PM »
Does anybody use seaguar flourcobon line.
I purchased 6 lb test and it seams pretty nice.
Tieing the line was hard to see. I think in the water it will work great. If the fish have as hard time seeing the line as i did it should work.
I purchased it because of it's ability for casting.
I am ready for spring if you can not tell. LOL
For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

I have to do something. The line is so clear I can not see the line to tie a hook on.
For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

You guys are cracking me up! I'm getting to be an old fart also. I remember the day I dropped my readers in the river. I would walk over to my son to get him to tie the hook everytime I broke one off!

Another Hi-Jack you old fart! :o :o :o :o  Plus your lying.  You could buy Eagle Claw out. ;D ;D ;D  I wish I had your money and time to complain. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Ernie I use Flourocarbon but not that brand.  It is especially helpful when you have clear and low water because it doesn't spook fish if presented right.  It is almost essential when fishing for spooky steelheads at least for a leader.
"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

I've tired just about every line out there.
I use mono for everything best todate I've found is Berkeley trilene xl extra smooth cast either the clear/blue or just clear green sucks. the best the strongest pound for pound .I use 2lbs test for trolling flies for trout have caught up to 6lbs browns on it.I use 6lbs test for trolling rapalas for trout (f5's) .I use 10 lbs on my down wrigger rods for walleye and 8lbs for flat lining for walleye I usually troll and haven't had much luck with the carbon lines jmo its more of a bass line

I use to use  trilene some years ago but figured i try this line Since there is so nany tyoes now. I have kind of been removed from the in depth stuff about fishing line and rods. There is so much stuff out there any more to keep up with. i kind of look for fishing stuff that seams good and will cover a bunch of fishing types. If the line does not work out I will try this trilene again.
Thanks for your help.

I am trying this line to see if it is worth wile.
I fish some pretty clear water at camp some times for bass and trout.
The line seams to feel pretty good, but I was also looking for a line that will give me longer casts.
