Great American Outdoors Show
« on: February 01, 2014, 01:39:35 PM »
The PPHA has a booth at the Great American Outdoors Show. The show started today and runs through Sunday 2/9/14. Stop on by and see us.

If you're not a PPHA member and have been thinking about joining now's the time. Joe Zaffuto owner of Night Eyes Lights and a sponsor here has been kind enough to donate a Night Eyes head lamp as a prize for new members. So any one who signs up at the show will have their name go into a drawing for a chance to win the Night Eyes head lamp.

So if you've been thinking of joining now's the time, come on by and see us. We are always happy to talk predator hunting.

We are at booth 3912 directly across from the good folks of FoxPro. Big Al Morris is working the booth today and is anxious to talk hunting with PPHA members so come on down.

Haven't been there for 25+ years....
Attended on Saturday.
Shortly after arriving, The first booth I actually stopped and spend time, was NITESITE. They sell night vision products for night hunting. Neat stuff.
As I was walking away from booth, I looked back and saw a jacket with FoxPro on back. I went back and noticed Mike Dillion purchasing 2 NiteSite units. I stayed clear until Mike was finished. When he walked away, he noticed me and we happily greeted one another with long time no see.
Mike and I have been in contact recently thru emails, but haven't seen one another for a few years. We talked for 30 minutes or so in the aisle/walkway.

Stopped at our booth, purchased a winning ticket and chitchatted.
My hat is off to those who 'man the booth'. Thank You.

Stopped next door and talked with Joe of Night Eyes.
Then spent a lot of time with Mike Dillion at FoxPro booth. I bumped into Mike at another booth, soon after I arrived. So I spent time with Mike twice.

In any event, Joe and Mike have a lot of knowledge and are willing to share. I enjoyed talking to them and that's about all the stops I made. Oops, I did make a stop for a SOFT PRETZEL. It was great eating.

Thanks to all of the Officers and Volunteers.  Good Job!
"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

The show went well, saw some of our members there and it's always good to meet some of you guys. It was good to hang out with the guys from FoxPro also.

I want to give a thank you to Joe Zaffuto of Night Eyes for his generous donation of a head lamp as an incentive to attracted new members. Thank you Joe.

I also want to thank all the volunteers that helped it was greatly appreciated. I'd also like to give a huge thank you to Bulldog and Dreamcatcher who without there help we couldn't have pulled it out.
