Turkey call
« on: May 06, 2007, 09:49:29 PM »
I like this type of good news. Looks like I will be getting a new horn tip call to replace the one T/R made for me a couple of years back and I lost when hunting with Coyotejohnin in Arozona. I realy liked T/Rs horn tip call and never did get to use it wile hunting with C/J.

Here is a message and photo I just recieved. This is after he had called another gobbler the week before with this same slate I call I sent him.

hey Ernie. I thought you'd like to know that a took a friend back to KS. with me this last weekend, and your slate call did more damage. This friend that I took had never killed a turkey before, and he filled both KS. tags in about 15 seconds with two nice 9" bearded toms. Your slate bought 6 hens to us, and the hens had three nice toms in tow, and BANG, BANG, he was done.

Thanks again for a great sounding slate!! I'm going to have to get off my lazt butt and make sure to get you a new horn distress call before winter time!! I think I owe ya that much!!

For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

good story....nice to see when someone scores on a call you create i'd imagine.
