I got this idea from another forum. I used some PVC pipe and a hose clamp for my optronics light.

Tried to use some camo tape but I think I'll paint it instead.  :D

Good idea : I'll be making one of these for when hunting alone you have your shooting rest and light together.

I am taking a stab in the dark at guessing that you were on another forum and I had said something.  at this point and time I am unsure of what.  but just because I may have said something you need only to choose to do it or not to do it.  these forums are a helping aid not law.
yes what you have will get the job done.  I have not personally used em but have heard of others that do you use them.  so in turn I am iggnorant of the use of a light setup like this.  I use a tripod now.  I got the idea from another ppha member.  it has worked for me.  but hopefully if the GML law gets changed then I can shed some unwanted pounds.

Ok, me bad !!!!!!!!   I thought you was saying something totally different. Actually, it works quite well although I'd much rather have it on my scope.

Ya know, now that I think about it, I'm not sure who said what.    In any event, I thought of an idea and was passing it along to everybody else. I also hope the GML issue is resolved then this will be a moot point. 8)

Looks like a nice idea for a light. I agree with you, paint would be better than the tape.

Melsdad,
This was the setup I had before the light was legal to be mounted on the gun.
