I learned so much from Jeff in the couple of hours I spoke with him I just had to join the Association what a great group of people to learn from. A little about myself I just retired last August and belong to a couple gun clubs one in Ridgway, PA were i enjoy thw 1000 yard Varmint shoot's and one in Rockton, PA were we shoot a 400 yard deer shoot. Hunting and fishing and my grand children are my joys.

Hi buckwheat, the 400 yard deer shoot at Rockton, PA is a bench shoot at a paper deer target with the heart and lungs in a lighter shade of color. There is three class 1. Hunter class which is a hunting rifle with up to a 10 power scope and hunting ammo, 2. Factory Varmint class any scope, any ammo and 3. Unlimited class. It cost $5.00 five shoots you get 5 points for a heart shoot 3 points for a lung shoot and 1 point body shoot and split the pot. It a very hard target to shoot think we only had one 25 score in the last couple of years and their is about 30 to 40 shooters at most match's which is held on the second Sunday of the month. If you want a schedule and rules I will post one or send you one.
There is also a 1000 yard varmint shoot at Ridgway, PA if your are interested. dibo (Bob)
