Question on Federal Whithoulding Taxes?

Notice that for 2011 Federal government is taking more Withholding Tax out then in 2010.  Now being retired from uncle we got no Cost Of Living Increase, Our Health Benefit cost increased,  Wages are the exact same for 2010 that they will be for 2011. Taxes are suppose to be across the board for all people in the U. S. since Republican took power in Congress.. Why the increase in the Federal Withholding Tax for 2011?  I'm just curious .. I figure someone on here would know without me having to do a lot of research.?



What is really happening down there or up there at or in Washington D. C.?  "READ MY LIPS!" NO NEW TAXES!"   if we are going to be taxed more how in the heck is that going to stimulate the economy?

I found this explanation on the web..Still don't understand it since I can't claim this Pays To Work exemption on my 2010 taxes?   Anyway looks like everyone of us is going to have more Withholding taken out of our 2011 pay and this is what they claim is the reason for it.. 
Now you can't buy the new Foxpro caller...LOL LOL

Looks like this is what the government did..  They gave us a break for two years.. The Pays To Work Exemption $400.00 for  single and $800.00 for family and the $250 (only in 2009) for Social Security or people retired under other plans resulted the Government with also reducing our Witholding Taxes for the 2009/2010 tax year.  So you possibly got two benefits.. A stimulus payment and a tax reduction for 2009/2010.  However now that the 2 year program is over the government is putting the Withholding Tax back at where it was before.  So we got some Bennie's in 2009/2010 but now 2011 looks like we are back to were the witholding tax would have been had they not enacted the Stimulus.


See you thought that only big companies only got the Stimulus. 2009/2010 would have been the years to buy a gun and help the economy.  
In 2011 looks like your going to have to eat at Fast Food places (no Tips) since your payroll is now shrinking again..
