Turkey loads why they shoot like a rifle

Most have buffered shot...This holds the shot together longer.. Then the wad..It's not split it's one whole piece.  When the shot comes out it travels longer distances before it starts to spread.  Truly not the best shell for gray fox when the Gray Fox Pup is playing but for longer distances......It might get more shot into a fox out there a bit farther..As you know these are designated as Turkey Loads on the box..

Chilled shot is soft...Magnum Shot is harder,  Copper Platted Lead Shot is harder yet but the best is Nickel Plated Lead Shot..  Copper Platted is good for fox.  However chilled shot...um that rabbit and grouse shot.. So when you do start to reload get to learn all the different kinds of lead..

Then when we are hunting in the early part of the season and shooting close especially for Gray Fox..  Maybe the premium high brass would be better then turkey loads.  Let say Remington Express...I'm sure that has the Magnum Shot not the Chilled shot that the game loads have..

Scott sent me this link that makes comment of Nickel Plated Lead Shot:  Interesting:
