Me....not quite...I wanted to do so much prior to the opener...We only got one month left...right off we are going to have a full moon that week. That's not something I look forward too...However that's fox hunting for you...The intense heat this summer and surgery has kept me from enjoying shooting for chucks...I like to do that to get me ready for rifle shooting..I reloaded some 17 Fireball but have yet to visit the range and even fire in the 17 Fireball with factory ammo. One month left...need to sight it in..and see if the reloads are better then factory rounds.. However once the season starts I hate to go to the range and play around shooting in firearms for predators. of course there is always a first time...Since I could not do things for about 6 weeks....carry heavy sand bags etc that I like to use when I am sighting in ammo etc...
However on the plus side...shotgunning...I'm ready.....got some # 4 buckshot, T, BB, and B buckshot reloaded. Since most times there is still standing corn...I elect to use the shotgun anyway over the rifle.....
Lights yep ready there too....
However....I do like my rifles shot in when the hunting season temps are equal to the early hunting season temps.. Hence why would I want to shoot the rifle in now when temps should drop a bit...Also early in the season I use more electronics then mouth calls. So again...the shotgun is better then the rifle... In my eyes the rifle and the mouth call go hand in hand... Shotgun can scoot down and use the remote of his electronic caller to bring the critters passed him...
Don't have to worry about my calling ability, don't have to worry about reading the land, don't have to worry about hunting lands, scouting? they are going to be there or there not going to be there...Don't worry about that...
Won't be long now one month away to go!!!!!Um Full moon the opener????I best get my rifle shot in so I can pick them off from the shadows of the tree line... LOL LOL
