it is a bloody print on the inside of a chicken coop wall. it was about 18 inches from the floor, has nail marks above the print about 1/8 of on inch and slide down, very fine scratch like a needle.

the animal got into the coop, chewed the neck and head of one chicken and ate the stomach out of another, then carried one off.

Big old coon. Looks like it may have smudged his print a little giving it the odd look.

Scott, take that coon out asap or you won't have a chicken left in a few days. They can tear up a bunch of chickens in one night.

If a fox reached up the bloody print would be more then 18 inches above the floor...18 inches plus how the print looks could be a coon or maybe even a possum but I don't think it's a canine,

You have some good answers. Hard for me to tell from the picture.
Any critter from a Weasel to a Wolf could put a print 18" on wall during a high-speed chase in a chicken coop. (just bank'n off the wall)

1 coon removed a couple of days ago, no other chickens have been lost since.
