Seasons that Don't Make Sense to Me

I don't understand why crow season is now closed?  Yeah...I know it is time to make the baby crows but geeze....there are so many of these vermin and they wipe out song bird populations.  Groudhogs are open year round as are starlings and the like.  I think it is time the crow resource be managed more effectively.  Only being able to hunt them on weekends and closing the season for three months is just making the crow problem worse.  I just don't get the crow season...

See it's political...We have a treaty with Mexico...We can't hunt them because of a special crow that they (Mexican government) want to protect.  So we close it for the mating season.....So none of this special bird are killed.???????????

I'm not stretching this one...This is the reason why you can not hunt crows 365 days a year anymore in Pa...
