Andrew Lewand, founder of Bark At The Moon Coyote Club in NY, and I have been talking for the last 2 yrs about holding a hunt between our two organizations. Well, at the last PPHA Expo we decided to quit talking about it and get it going for the upcoming fur season. Below are the details, dates and rules. The hunt is simple and for fun, lets keep it so. Other states are interested in what we are organizing so lets show them some strong participation and lots of pics!!! This years hunt will be between PA and NY residents who are members of their respected organizations only. Next year we hope to have more states involved.
Here is a new opportunity for us to get out in the woods, do some calling, represent the PPHA and have a great time with fellow members. I'm asking all PPHA members to please set aside this weekend and participate in this fun hunt. Lets show the boys in NY a pile of PA fur!!
PA-NY Predator Showdown
The purpose of this hunt is to promote the enjoyment of predator calling and to serve as a friendly rivalry for hunters from PA and NY.
This is a calling contest only. Predators taken by use of running with dogs are not valid
There are no prizes awarded in the contest… Only bragging rights for 1 year!

Roster thread to be finalized by Thursday the 4th. If your name is not listed on the roster by the deadline on the 4th. You cannot participate.
Points shall be awarded for each predator taken
10 points for each coyote
5 points for each fox (greys and red fox count the same)
Bobcats are excluded as each state has different management programs.
Each successful contestant must pose with their take. The specific, and mandatory, pose will be announced at 5:00 PM on Friday night.
All pictures must be posted on the contest thread by 6:00 PM on Sunday night.
there will be no tie breakers and the rematch will start the following year!
This is a members only hunt.
