Senate Bill 1245
« on: July 12, 2006, 11:51:39 AM »
SB1245, which deals with adding the wording [or foxes] to Title 34 Section 2308 Unlawful devices and methods (b) (4) (5) was introduced by Senator Conti on June 15, 2006.

On June 20, 2006, The bill passed out of the Senate Game & Fisheries Committee with no problem. As of July 1, 2006, the bill has been laid on the table. There appears to be action in regard to blocking the progress of the bill for some reason at this time by an unknown Senator and/or his staff.

The new wording would read:

(4) Any natural or manmade nonliving bait used to attract coyotes
[or foxes] for hunting or trapping.

(5) Any electronic or mechanical device used to attract coyotes
[or foxes] for hunting or trapping.
