well i know its a little early but we just cant help it me and a buddy of mine have already been hittin the yotes pretty hard haha... one night after work we got bored and decided to go try for a little early season yote hunt, after callin in atleast one dog on 3 of our 4 sets and callin in a pack of atleast 12 on oneof em..its had us after em a few times a week ever since. Seems like its gonna be a good predator season the dogs n fox seem to be everywhere and were already up to 4 yotes!...cant wait for it to get full swing maybe goose season comin in tues will help ease our trigger fingers and save some for this fall/winter haha

we hunt around the altoona area mostly like duncansville then all the way up by blueknob

nice...closest i'll be coming to hunting near altoona is huntin idiana, pa, haha which i know is a little ways off but little closer than harrisburg...we've seen some decent fur numbers out that way...seen yote sign, so hopefully I can get my brother, that is attending IUP, to get into our sport...good talkin to ya, welcome to the club as well, and as always shoot straight...

September!!!!!Many times I shoot myself in the foot....I hunt doves, geese, trout fish.  However September is one of the best months to hit coyotes hard...As you know, the pups are no longer pups,  you don't have to play with their brains like in other times of the year...A simple Quakerboy bulb squeaker is all you need to call them in....However make sure they are there or that vigorus bulb squeaking is just going to educate the fox......

I agree, I want to hunt those 1st year coyotes but I'm a foxhunter first and I know it will kill me to educate these foxs and make it harder on myself later in season.

Predator 77  then don't use sounds that will call in fox...No food sounds what so ever...One of the best sounds to call in coyotes 365 days a year is the Coyote Pup... Fox will show also at times...However when hunting fox your sure not going to be using the Coyote Pup Sounds.....This is the time to use the remote caller with designated sound ID to Coyote Pup...

 i feel the same way as you guys i never liked huntin the yotes too early in fear of educating the fox. thats the reason i started using mouth calls ...this yr all weve done is howl and ki-yi at em...only time weve used distress calls have been to coax em that few xtra yds and even then its only been fawn distress....since ive got into howling with mouth calls ive never this good of luck with the yotes......thank you randy anderson and the boys from primos haha

wish i woulda had my coyote calls n .223 yesterday morn instead of being in the goose blind with the 12ga. we had a coyote who wouldnt stop carrying on in the hollow by the field we set up in.
