Crow Hunt
« on: February 06, 2006, 06:47:23 PM »
Going on the crow hunt Saturday and being a newbie was looking for advice. I'm cranking out 1 1/8 oz loads of 7.5 and 8 shot right now. I'm assuming full camo is a good idea, right?

I have a semi and an O/U, both in 12 gauge. What kind of chokes would be a good idea? I was thinking modified for the single barrel and mod/?? for the double.

Any suggestions?

the shot sizes will be good... remember your going to be shooting decoying birds so improved cylinder to modified, and maybe if you have it an imp. modified would work well... if a full is all you'd have it'd work also, you'll just have to hold them a little tighter as the pattern will be a lot smaller in close like most of the shooting will be...

oh yes and full camo to include a face mask and gloves...
when you step out the truck, you become part of the food chain...

Genius by birth....    slacker by choice!...

Sounds good, that's exactly how everything is setup from dove season. I'll just bring my dove seat that has my clothes in it anyway.
thanks and I'll see you there.
