Meat in the freezer today. Shot a Doe this morning.
No picture.
Not much of a story. Hardly any shooting this morning.
9:30, here they came.
Weren't in a hurry, but stood in front of me 40 yards.
I waited and waited for a Buck to appear, as they stood around.
After 5-10 minutes of Deer milling around, I dropped a Doe.

Nice!!! Not much shooting around here either. I thought it would be like a war but honestly there was more shots the first day then today.

I hunted Monday and Tuesday up at camp. Did not see any deer but the weather was great. Did hear some shots around the house this morning and just now heard a shot. Someone shooting the wife's pets again. LOL
For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

Hey Goose,  how big was the ATV you used to drag it out??   I know you didn’t drag it out by sheer strength!

Speaking of dragging a Deer-
Jake, I was happy after my kill.
Nephew text me, since he wasn't sure where I was... 'was that you that shot?' 'want me to bring the Rhino?'
I was in the thick stuff. Would have been a long drag thru brush, stumps & blow downs.
Doe dropped 10 yards off the atv trail.
No dragging for me, thanks to the nephew.

Tim doesn't need the range.  I just don't feel the need to run my gums like some. :o :o :o 8) 8) 8)

"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!
