Variety of Calls for Sale
« on: March 18, 2007, 01:20:47 AM »
Here's some calls that I've built recently.  All are closed reed predator calls, using a JC Products Dual reed.  All prices are delivered to your door.

1. Skinny turned antler $18.00
2. Shorter turned antler w/lanyard $24.00
3. Turned plastic "Weiner Dog" $10.00
4. Antler Base calls, each $22.00
5. Turned American Chestnut w/lanyard $24.00

Thanks for looking.   bootmud

You are getting pretty good on the lathe
Did you ever decide what finish you are putting on your turned antler calls?  Some of your calls seam to have a high gloss on them is there different types of finishes you are using.
For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

BW,

I'm slowly getting better on the lathe.  I'm using a polycrylic on the inside of the turned calls for better moisture protection.  I apply at least two coats.  That's what I've used on the antler calls that I made in the past.

I also use the poly on the inside of the wood and antler turned calls and on the outside of the wood and antler turned calls I'm using Crystal Coat from Hut Products.

Thanks,  bootmud
