Signs of coyotes in areas

One of the major signs of coyotes in the area are the lack of other predators.. When your red fox populations or call ins start to drop.. It's not your call, or your sounds,  it could be coyotes have really have done a number on your red fox populations..  My encounters with coyotes in my area of Pa have increased.. On the down side my call ins on red fox have also decreased.

It could be an increase in predator callers and trappers too....Not that they are killing all the red fox but they could be educating them.. A sign of this would be once you turn on your electronic caller you start to hear a red fox barking at you right off...

One thing for certain....Coyotes hate fox... That's probably why the Gray Fox Pup is one of the most excellent sounds to call in coyotes.. IMO I would think any of the Red Fox Distress sounds would work for coyotes too..
