White light for full moon?

I've read in Dennis Kirk's book that when hunting during a bright full moon night, a white light (light w/o a colored filter) is better because it won't be as bright as it would be on a dark night. Would that be the case or should I just stick with a red or amber lens on my light?

This is true... If the full moon really lights up the fields you could go to total white light without a lens... If it's a bit dark yet you could use an amber lens.. Since October Full Moon will be the Harvest moon it probably going to be a bright one.. Remember now when you use  white or amber lens all critters eyes will be white..So be careful for the non-targeted animals. However the white light should light up the entire animal so you can see what it is.
