Never gave it much thought...If a case was Rimless or Rimed. However single shots...work better if the calbier has a rimed case not a rimless case. Something to do with it not having a head space problem like a rimless case can have..
OK...Some of the rimed cases are 22 Hornet, 30/30, 4570, unlike the 243, 22250, and 3006 which has the rimless case..
I think that the 30TC a more powerful caliber developed to be better then the 30/30 is rimed?

Anyway this all gives you a reason when you buy an Encore or NEF, or a Rossi could be??? That a Rimed Caliber might be a good choice. This also gives you the reason to buy another gun...
