Neat to reload... You can reload varmint bullets in guns determined to be deer guns and target guns...Often wondered  just how the 30 Cal varmint bullets work on chucks?

I think I am going to reload some Speer 125 grain 30 Cal HP and see how they shoot. If they group good enough I will have to try them on chucks....looks like 50 grains of "Reloader 15"   or 42 grains of "Reloader 10X"  and CCI 200 primers are recommended.

This evening I reloaded 6 each Speer 125 grain HP using 45 grains of Reloader powder and 6 each Speer 125 Grain HP and 48 grains of Reloader 15.  Today I could have used the 308 to shoot one chuck that was well over 350-400 yards away...
I also was using Cheap Barska extended eye relief binoculars... Works great for the price. Never use binoculars much when I hunt...These I am going to take all the time...Hate using my other binoculars since they are not extended eye relief type and it gets to be burden when you have 4  eyes...

I did get to the range and shoot my 308 win Encore in.  Started with 308 Win Federal factory 150 grain deer bullets.  Then I started to see how the 125 Grain Speer TNT grouped.  One of the reloads.. the Reloader 15 48 grains grouped in the same place as the factory deer bullets.  The groups were also under 1 inch too.  So as it stands now I can use the Federal Wal-Mart $13.95 factory ammo for deer and use the reloads for chucks...I did put about 10 rounds of the factory stuff up too so it will be the same lot that was zerod in.. I probably should go back to wal-Mart and get another box of the factory ammo before they restock with a new Federal Lot number. I want to get out this week and try the 125 grain TNT's on chucks...More then likely it would be to much gun for coyotes.. However it can prove that a person can use the same 30 cal gun for deer and chucks.
