S.E. PA Range Day
« on: February 22, 2009, 09:53:24 AM »
now that fur season is done...alot of us are turing our attention to groundhogs now. time to go put small holes in some paper and make sure the chuck guns are ready to roll for the summer.

what i'm thinkin of doing is reserving the SGL 43 Shooting Range for the PPHA in late March or early April for rifle sighting and alittle friendly competition. its only a 100yd range so the shooting wont be too difficult for the adults;D. there is a 50yd range for the kids to shoot.

ALL PPHA MEMBERS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND...NO MATTER WHAT DISTRICT YOU RESIDE, BRING THE KIDS!.

SGL 43~ http://www.pgc.state.pa.us/pgc/game/maps/zoom_maps.asp?sgl=43&rgn=Southeast&submit.x=7&submit.y=10

Sundays in mind are March 29th or April 12th

to those that are interersted....which sunday would work best for out for you?

feedback is appreciated so i can get an idea on the # participating.

thanks

~Woody

okay, after a couple of minutes to think about it.......and now that i can't edit my post....

instead of opening up the dates for debate which will take weeks to hammer out. this is what i propose

the shoot will be on Sunday, March 29th......RAIN DATE will be April 12th.

bring your own bag lunch and drink, thinking of reserving half the range for 2 or 3 hrs in the afternoon.

Bingo is another interesting game you can play at 50 and 100 yards. Call the number and shoot a bullet into the Bingo card.

Hit as many fly's as you can at 50 yards and 100 yards. Not easy.

I might be up for that.  I need to shoot my .17HMR and and the CZ .223 I just got.  The .223  was owned by an older guy that had it zeroed pretty good.  So I'll see.

Hey Dave, what model is your CZ? Does it have the single set trigger?

Very nice gun. I don't have the set trigger so I had a gunsmith adjust the trigger to 1.5 lbs. It is one of my favorite guns.

Earl,
Maybe you should post the equipment sites in the gear bag forum.
So woody's topic can get back on track
