There are two varieties of the black trumpets in Pa... This is one of them... You find them in Moss, usually along streams in stands of Oak.. I was taking a walk in the woods with my son and I said to him. "See this moss right there that's where you will find black trumpets aka black chanterelles!"! He said to me: "Like those!" I'm pointing out terrain to him and they are right at my feet... They are hard to see on the ground! Ha HA!!!

Nice! I found a bunch the last few years but they are not that great imo. I found a very large patch before I knew what they were. I thought they were old chants that were dead.
