Title: Some farmers already cut the fields
Post by: uncle buck on May 06, 2010, 12:46:41 PM
What a year....Notice on a trip last week.....Was still April....Farmers were cutting some of their fields.  Seems like things are 4 to 5 weeks ahead of schedule...Poppies usually bloom a few days before Memorial day...Looked out the window this morning there is one in full bloom today...

Might want to make sure you check your wood chuck hunting areas to make sure that the grass and or weeds are just to high to hunt. nothing worse then thinking about hunting about chucks all week and you get all that gear together jump in a vehicle and go to the farm and the weeds and or crops in your favorite fields are  not huntable.

Yes, It is an unusual year. Horrible turkey season so far. Got a new hunter his first turkey. Mating was over by the time it started. All my lawns have started to seed early. Flowers blooming just in time for this last frost to burn them. Everything is happening weeks earlier than last year.
