Looking to buy a new 22-250 and was looking for advice on what manufacter and model shoots best? I already have a ruger m77 with the heavy barrel, I love the gun it shots great but I hate the weight. Any advice would be great, thanks.

Check out the T/C Venture They are tack drivers out of the box. T/C also has a $75 rebate right now, so that helps the wallet out

I have a Savage and the TC Venture. Both are nice shooters.... But definitely prefer the TC. Looks better and feels better. Both shoot well.

Bought a TC Venture Predator in 223 and really like it. Handles well and shoots great
Not sure where you're at, but Grice has them on sale for $400. With the $75 rebate, it's a heck of a rifle for $325

Does the t/c venture have a heavy varmint barrel?

I also have the TC venture in 223. I really like it and it shoot awesome. It is not a heavy barrel.

My T/C 204 does not have a heavy barrel, but man is it ever a sweet shooter!

If you purchased a used one i'd see what the Rate of Twist the barrel is. I know I have an TC Encore 24 inch factory barrel and does it shoot Nosler Partition bullets well. Also 50 and 55 grainers too. Actually of all my barrels that's my favorite. It's dedicated to a Encore action.
