Title: Dispatching side arms
Post by: uncle buck on October 15, 2013, 06:17:27 PM

Great gun for all kind of predator caller applications.
Both self defense and dispatching.
IMO best no nonsense round is the 45 Colt single projectile for dispatching.
I also have 22 WMR barrel!  My Bond is the Centurion with 3 Inch barrels! The Snake Charmer is a 45/410 in a 4 1/2 barrel and this does increase the range of the derringer!

Another outstanding predator caller side arm is:

Many times if I take people and I call for them I will use the Single Six.
It's a great trapping gun! Also great for shooting coon out of trees!
When trapping I use the 22LR cylinder.
When predator hunting I use the 22 WMR cylinder!

Dispatching sidearm when I have to trap is North American Arms .22, 5 shot revolver.  Fits in coat pocket or shirt pocket.

Just go with a Heritage revolver.  I think they are around $200 at Gander M. and they come with two cylinders(.22 and .22 mag.).

I use a North American Arms Black Widow.  It comes with a .22 and a .22 mag cylinder.  I carry it when calling fox in case I have to put one down.  I use the .22 and simply point blank shoot it between the eyes....game over and no big holes.
