Title: Bigger is Better When You Reload
Post by: uncle buck on May 13, 2011, 10:31:21 AM
If you reload  the Magnum calibers they  can be reloaded down. Let say you have a 300 Win Mag if you reload you can reload it down to shoot like a 3006.

Also  the 17 Rem...You can reload that down to shoot like the 17 Fireball.

I like the 35 Rem...What I should have done was purchase a 35 Whelen Encore Barrel...

As always this is just IMO... Some people might disagree but it could be a good debate...

I remember when my son was 12...I reloaded a 3006 round to kick like a 30/30.   He killed his first buck with that reload...

I like Trail Boss for "downloading". Takes the thump right out of a 45/70 and replaces it with a gentle push. I have some recipes for .308, 30-30 and even .223 but I haven't gotten around to try those yet. It's really a fun powder.
