Does anyone every trap public lands?

Wow I suppose that would be like throwing money up into the air by setting traps on public lands?  Probably have to do it after the flintlock season was over....Hunters....aka sportsperson would steal them on you..Something they see a trap and they say:  "THATS MINE!"  "Possessions is 9/10's of the law." in some slob hunters eyes...

UB I do trap on public land. The cat that I caught was on public land. One year I did have a trap that someone took and I did report it in case someone would set the trap with my trap tag on it. I was upset due to the time that a person puts into trapping and money in the traps but will continue to set on public land.

99% of the ground I trap is public. Yea I loose a trap every now and then but I have also lost them on Private land.
