I was wondering if some of the more experience predator hunters could help me..
everytime were out we get coyotes answerin our sarinades. we try everything from challenge howls to distress. whts the right way to do it?

get closer to them and try any distress.
They may be on the other side of the coyote property line when they answer your serinade.

Never thought of it that way...
only thing is were we always have them howling we set up in a field and there in the thick woods, would be hard night hunt.

Coyote Pup is always a good thing to go too if they won't come in...Also the KIYI....Like the Gray Fox Pup and the Baby Red Fox for those like animals... Coyotes do let their guard down if they hear "THE PUP".

I have used the coyote pup after they started howling in the distance and I have called them in...

it depends on what is answering you, but i would say at this time of year it would be a family group, in which case i would challenge them wait 20 minutes then go to coyote pup in distress and wait another 20 minutes.

they could be warning barks/howls

Don't know about up there. But here I would start with a lone howl and wait for a few mins. Then try a rabbit for a few mins. and wait. Then some barks and some yelps. With some more rabbits. Works here.
