There are 2 excellent articles in the August 2010 issue of the PA Game News.
1. Three Centuries and Counting- An historical perspective of bounties and trapping in Pennsylvania. Starts in 1643 where pioneers constructed 52 wolf pits or traps to reduce predation on their livestock. Mentions the 283 year bounty era, payouts and it's termination in June 1966, Early trappers names and their harvest numbers.
2. Pennsylvania's "Other" Fox
Article about grey fox characteristics, habitat, trapping etc. It also compares Grey's with reds, coyote and raccoon.
