who got out so far this season? what did ya see?

i got out at 2am after work, called in 2 coon pups, 2 reds and a real nice buck. no triggers pulled. coons were too small, 1 red snuck up behind me to about 8' and the other winded me just as i was putting pressure on the trigger.

how bout you?

One coon up in a tree last night, quite a distance away from us, and through much thick stuff. We didn't think we had any chance of getting close enough before he vacated the area, so we moved on.

One other set of eyes, there and gone very quick. No chance to ID.

Hunted all mountains. Saw 1 possum, 1 cat, and played with coyotes for 45 min. but the fog was so thick don't know if we coulda seen em if they were right on top of us. None the less felt great to be out and going thru the motions and making the sounds that get our hearts pumping!

Saving the better properties for next weekend, figuring I'll need all the help I can get to compete in the NC Hunt. :lol:

Gonna try different mts. tonight for coyotes and greys.

Made 4 stands early this morning and five tonight. Two of which where in day light hours. Perfect set ups, just no predators where around. I had about 5 sets of eyes all togeather and I know one was for sure some kind of predator, but stayed just out of shotgun range. Oh well, its the first day, I still have time to wack a couple.

Scored two reds sat night. First foxes with a gun. And a double! Thanks to all the guys for all the help. Alwas open for company too!

Made it out for 3 stands last night, it yielded 2 greys. Had some others come in but didnt get a shot at em.

i have gotten 4 grays out of a local beagle club property.the pics are in my cell phone which i dont know how to get out,i also had a horned owl hit my topper on the jack in box,it was so cool to watch it come in from tree to tree and set up for a hit,i am just glad it didnt get away with my topper
still no coyotes heard or reds spotted.
are yins guys callin coons?

can you send email from your phone?... if so attach the pictures and email them to yourself... that's how I do it... screw them cables...
