Seemed a perfect night, no wind, cloudy. I go to the spot I selected and once I slip threw the electric fence I here a couple yips. Crap I am busted. I sit down and turn my head lamp on and a pair of eyes are trotting across the field. I let out a sound that was terrible but it stopped. I then let a couple distress out and it comes at me. This is the problem, see when the coyote stopped, it was 60 yards, why didnt I shoot, dont know. so its comming hard, straight at me, now I switch to shotgun. still comming at me on a straight trot. I go to shoot, it disapears, for got about the little valley between use. pops up to my left about 15 feet away. then it takes off into a thicket, yipping, howling making an awful racket. Trying to figure out why I waited so long to shoot. It was exciting though.
