Fall Fishing
« on: September 19, 2013, 07:29:08 PM »
Well we are all looking forward to fur season but if you get a chance you might try to wet a line. I have been out 3 times recently and have had very good success...1st trip wife and I must have caught and released 35-40 crappies on a small lake here in Central Pa......2nd trip we were on Susquehanna and we caught and released a few bass the best of which was a 19 incher, all looked very good..no blemishes or black spots...today I went out a little late, Susquehanna again and I only caught 1 fish but it was a 32 inch Channel cat over 13lbs...I was using minnows and crawlers..cat went for a 3-4 inch shiner minnow.. 8)

Excellent!
Seems like forever since I've done a fishing to amount to anything.  Need to change that next year

nice ,healthy looking..no spots or lesions...I hope river is improving..last time out I used twister tails... 3 inch..all black and  also dark green... no hits on  purple or flake..(To lazy to go get bait)on an 1/8 ounce jig head and bumped it along bottom...They were all in extremely shallow water w/current..I poled boat mostly...my wife's the photo nut here....

Sharing the river,Mom showing Jr. how to fish! My wife spends as much time with camera as fishing and therefore...the guide service (me) has to constantly be moving boat into the right spot.... >:(... 8)

Nice smallmouth jaspr1. Here on the ohio river we had a great spring season for smallmouth but so far this fall it's been slow for them.
