Gone fishing
« on: July 28, 2013, 08:23:22 PM »
Well after somewhat finishing the resto on my 59 Wagemaker Wolverine, I was able to get some fishing in.

I spent a week Bass and Walleye fishing in Canada with the in-laws up at Pine Ridge resort.  The fishing as always was excellent and we had quite a hearty fish fry on Thursday night.  After the second day we decided to only keep 2 lbers and up.  We filled the freezer that quickly.  My wife and oldest daughter caught the largest with the wife catching the largest at 2.75 lbs and my daughters at 2.25 lbs.  I had some respectable 1.5 lbers.  The walleye were pretty non-existent this year, however on Friday morning my wife caught the only walleye and it was a keeper.

I also have been able to get in some trout fishing and have caught some respectable stocked rainbows.

I hope everyone's summer is going great.  See you all in the woods in fall.

Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of working!!   Sounds like you had a GREAT few days of fishing!!  Nice pics.

Spent the evening with my oldest on Cowanesque Lake.  We've been hitting it pretty hard trying to find the bass.  We've been catching some small smallies and white crappies but last night was pretty much a bust.

However, the daughter had one hell of a fight on her rod.

Me, not so much.

when you're on the cow you gotta head all the way up thru the wood and fish where the river comes in, smallies should be there...and of course the biggest musky you've ever seen also reside all over the cow
