8 degrees and still Coon trapping...

Yesterday at 9 am I spotted a Coon at this spot.
Our son said, 'Dad, I need to put a trap there.'
This morning he did.

2 Blind sets made...

Our son caught a Coon this morning. It was caught in spring run on the other side of muddy trail.

No Tail...

Bob, rubbed and weak.
Going to pull sets this morning.

Weight 19 lbs. but looked thin. Still had a lot of fat to burn.

Kyle is using a heavy drag on long chain. Said Coon was up a very small tree about head high. Drag was hung up on brush below.

I pulled those sets today.
Record low @ Selinsgrove airport today... -13

Kyle wanted a Coon to mount. Mount will be Coon face poking out of Den.
I'll post Picture when mount in finished.

Pictures to follow up on this post...

Last week, Kyle and I picked up his Coon mount.
When caught, the fur was weak and rubbed. Kyle decided to get a face mount.
Ole Boar was scare face, missing a tail and a fighter for sure.
Here's a picture of Kyle and his Scare Face Coon...
