fur prices
« on: January 19, 2011, 03:07:19 PM »
Has anyone sold any fur this year yet or been to any of the fur sales ?  Wondering what the prices are for Fox , Coon and Beaver.

Also feel it would be a good idea if you have a local buyer in your area to post what they are paying. That way if someone want to travel to maybe get better prices they can.

I took a ride down to this to see how a auction style fur sale was ran.  I was very impressed and hope to talk our district into trying it sometime.

I've sold some fur to a local buyer who was also at that auction.  I got 7.50 for rats and 20 for red fox.  Other offers were too low.

This was a post before Christmas......

Took a small amount of fur to a buyer yesterday.  Most made it back home.

First offer:
Red 15
Grey 14
Coyote 15
rat 7.5
my coon were all over the board but all small.  avg 5

A few of us went over to meet him.  put up coon avg 7.  rest the same.......

Every year a few of us get together and put up some fur.  Something I always look forward to as there is always cold beer and tall tales involved....

Mixed bag of critters ready for stretchers.  Fox, possum, cats, ermine, fisher, coyote and more critters in the deep freeze to put up before auction.

Northsloper and shakes....
