Metal Reed Voice Channels Revisited for the new callers

Not much to say about them..  Soon the temps are going to drop to below freezing.  Closed reed calls with metal reeds...Saliva...Will freeze in the the metal channels...Oh I'd say after 30 seconds. It now rendered useless... they do tell you to keep them outside your vehicle tied in a bag on the mirror or keep them in a warm area... However when the dreaded SPIT hits the dreaded COLD it's over...  Also the Tally Ho gets harder to use in cold weather but at least it still workable...   Look for closed reed calls with plastic voice channels and truly learn how to use the open reed calls..They are winter proof for sure....

A commercial brand closed reed call that has a plastic voice channel is the Primos KIYI (Yellow).

Um would like to see a list developed of all the closed reed calls out there that have plastic reed...Call makers..might be good to make a closed reed call with the plastic voice channel???????

Enough said in this post for some old time caller or seasoned callers.. Just don't want the new callers to learn like many of us have when the temps drop below 32 degrees...
