I probably should leave this alone but I think its great that we are fortunate to have several great light suppliers as are sponsors.Friendly competition is what drives us all to be better at what we do.It would be interesting to see a side by side comparison of the lights available but like so many things in this world were afraid to offend anyone. So in the end its up to the consumer to choose what their comfortable with.I say this being a neutral party as I currently do not own any lights on this sight mainly because I'm happy with what I have but I try to keep an open mind.

I am new to this sight, but I am not new to predator hunting.  I had a Kill Light mounted to my scope and bought the CoyoteTLR from shepslights.com with the intention of using it as a scanning light.  I agree with the original poster in that this light is much brighter than the Kill Light.  I mounted the CoyoteTlr to my rifle and now use the Kill Light to scan.  This light package is definately the best bang for your buck.  It is brighter and cheaper.

But, I know dreamcather for a long time and am giving him my take on the light.

You do not know me and you make that statement. If I was making money of the light it would be for sale on my site. I payed for the light just like you would have to. I wish he would let me sell his lights. I too like to make money. However they are just a great light and I just let friends and PPHA members know what is good if I find something. That is what PPHA is about.

Different LED then the kill light. Burn time is 1 1/2 hours with 2400  battery but
I think he now sells them with 3000 mah battery's should get 2 hours run time. I change battery's every hour of run time for any of the lights i use.

Technology on predator hunting lights is starting to improve by leaps and bounds!!  Sounds good that there is yet another light out there for hunters to use...

I do like the 100 and the 250 Kill Lights. Also The Coyote Light...Also Abolts  C battery red led flashlight too.  I will have to try the new light you posted about sometime down the road..

Same batteries as the kill light. The light is brighter because of the design. Larger head, deeper lense, new led design. A REAL WINNER

How Much is just the new light?  Looks like there is a special on there for an extra light with batteries but you have to buy the kit too..Boondock does sell just the light if you want it with the push end.  A 100 kill light any color is $49.00.  I think the 250 Kill Light was $99.00 just for the light?????See I just don't need any of the other stuff anymore..

I use this Coyote  light to replace the Kill Light. See your predator alot further and clearer with the Coyote light.

First let me say thanks for all of the great feedback I have been getting about the CoyoteTLR, I certainly appreciate it! I have received numerous request to post some beam shots of the CoyoteTLR in comparison to other lights. I have now added a couple of comparison pictures on my website.

Thanks, Shep

I also use the Kill Lite 250 and I am sure about this, like anything in life there is always something better or someone is going to make something better, look at it this way , what did you use 5 years ago ?

Hey Ernie how have ya been havent talked to u in a while also! I need a good shooting light. I scan with the predator light .  I'm just unsure what light to get. I want something that is worth the money and performs great when I hit that button to shoot! Oh and customer service has to be good also! The wind has kept me from calling much lately. Ive only killed a handful of fox this year. Its been hectic for me lately! I like my buddys kill light 250 but he has issues with that tailcap.
Anyway where is trophiesonly these days? Brian are ya out there?

I have the xlr 250 and love it. i also like the look of the new coyote light, but, don't like the idea of having only the tailcap switch.

the guy i hunt with has akill light and has trouble with the tail switch as for me i still use night lites 6volt system but after seeing these led lights theres one in my future.what kind of light are you solo guys scanning with?
Title: Re: New Light
Post by: coyotenightmare on February 22, 2012, 10:38:35 AM
I scan with a night light 21 volt light. Then swith to a kill light for the shot. The reason I have the night light is that I used to coon hunt all the time till I tried predator calling. Now my free nights are spent making a racket somewhere. Especially since my best dog climbed a tree that angled out over a cliff after a coon and then fell and killed himself. Coon hunting hasn't been the same since.....though I do go a couple times a year since its in my blood yet....I use an amber lense cover on my night light.
