Hunting Dog Names..

Being from North Eastern Pa... It must have been 999 rabbit hunters...Their beagles names were either King or Queen...

Me....I got me a full breed Bluetick Beagle when I was a kid...Could not register her with a name like Queen...All those field champs used those long names like Blackboots of Toby Run.  I named that little beagle...Tickerbush Tickles...Now there is no way that an 8th grade boy was going to be yelling Tickles Tickles Tickles in the woods when she went after....Sorry to say this....a deer... So for hunting purposes her name was TICK.  Yep Here Tick Here Tick Here Tick!!!!that sounds better then her Bluetick field champ want to be name down the road that was recorded...

Had a Lab once too...just called him BEAU. Ya...Here BEAU HERE BEAU HERE BEAU!!!!!

What was the names you gave your hunting dogs?
Um going to see if you Northeastern Pa posters ....Post "King"  and or "Queen"!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Remember one kid in my hometown named his dog BOY.  Here Boy Here Boy...
Then met people in another state that named their dog FELLA, Here Fella, Here Fella.

Now this is IMO it kind of sounds like a waste to name a good hunting dog BOY... Maybe BARRICK would be a better name to name a dog..Or Nancy or P e l o s i...However you could get many a person real mad  if you started yelling these names for your dog in certain counties or townships of Pa while hunting..

Heard tell that when you do give a dog a name it should not be a long name... So Buck,  or Sam,  Ben would be good...See when I named my dog BEAU...That kind of sounds like NO...It can confuse the heck out of a critter...

No wonder when I use to yell NO NO NO NO when he would be working the garbage can in the kitchen he just kept at it?????

I found a beagle this winter that I kept over night til I found his owner. I called him giggle berries because he was a boy but his real name was Charlie. Go figure!
