Successful Weekend
« on: September 26, 2016, 05:37:16 PM »
Anyone can call in a healthy coyote.  You gotta be a pro to do this!  I will let MisterJake tell you about the rest of the weekend if he chooses.

"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

It was a great weekend!   Every night we had coyotes come in.   Some seemed to be close enough to smell, but just didn't break cover for a shot.  I hit one,  heard the thwart, watched the coyote bite at the point of impact, yip, spin, then run off, never to be seen again.....  looked for him that night and the next morning, but no luck finding him.

I actually got to hear some different yips, barks and sounds I never heard before.  That was really awesome.

Even though we weren't able to drag one out, it was a great weekend.

What the story on the dead coyote in the tree?

For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

Buckwheat, Coyotes grow on trees at Jakes.
Lookn4ripe1's & Jake were too late to pick this one.

BuckALog, you were told the story.  Just hand the trophy over NOW!!  It already has my name on it.  Should be a NO BRAINER.  Hern told me it was the finest trophy he ever laid eyes on.  No expense spared.

OK, I am sorry I asked.
You knuckle heads are out of control with Jasper away.
Hell, even I would run up a tree just to see what made that God awful noise you guys think is calling.
Yep, Hern coyotes would get ripe in the trees just waiting for those two guys to look up when there walking in the woods. Look how excited Sonny is when he found one and it was only at waist high in the tree.
Jasper has the piggy, unless it us setting on your shelf above waist high and you walked by it again. I can not give it back what I do not have.
I would never keep that trophy from Lookn4hispiggy
