I have never really been a big fan of 700's mainly because I thought they were over priced rifles that demanded that price because of a name.  As far as how accurate the actions are and the reason that many use them in long range setups have little to do with how good they are and more because there are so many aftermarket parts for them.  As well as how easy it is to true them up.  Savages are starting to become the new Remington in that regard.  By a cheap stevens or savage and mod them into an alight 700-1000yd gun.  jmo 8)

Darin,  Right is right, no matter what state you're from.  You are coming along as a great E-Board member.  One of the good things about this forum is that you can read peoples posts and see who knows what they are talking about and who the stooges are.  Take it for what it's worth.  Dick

I keep telling you guys but you don't want to pay attention.  The misinformation on the Gunsmith that Ernie put out, for instance.  The gunsmith is from Red Lion, too.  What a coincidence.  Dick

I do not think Bowman66 even knows Clarence.

I do not know Clarence, though I am familiar with his work. I do know, no one can have an opinion that's different than yours, and you respect that fact, no you have to be ignorant about it and tell them to drop the BS. Try something new, take a day off and be nice, life might be tolerable for a second.

Buckwheat and Darin,  We had a truce and it was overwith until Darin had to take a cheapshot to impress someone.  Then he called me Ignorant.  Not only is that unprofessional coming from an officer but he showed his Ignorance of the definition of the word.  I try to tell the truth and will apologize when I'm wrong.  He wants to keep up the cheap shots, I'm up to it.  Dick   PS- Any one who wants to look at both of our posts will make up their own minds

Beats SWFA-114.95 but no discount for military and no free shipping.  JoBob has a good following.  Dick
