What is your choice of weapon for predator hunting?
« on: October 19, 2010, 09:28:42 PM »
I use a CZ 527 in 223 caliber with a 4.5 to 14 power scope. My second gun is a Thompson encore in 223 caliber. It also wears a 4.5 x14 power scope. My second rifle also carries a Gemtech suppressor. I use this in areas that is close to houses to keep the noise down. Both rifles have fine tuned triggers for I am only shooting at eye balls.

Hello I just joined PPHA at the PTA event at East Waterford, checked out forum board many times. My rifle is a Rem. 700 LVSF in 221 Fireball loaded down with a 45gr. Sierra sp with a Weaver 2.5x10 illuminated dot 30mm tube 56 bell. Shoots well normally 1/4 to 3/8in.

How many coyotes have you had run off at night? As far as loud any gun is loud at night. Some small calibers crack louder than larger calibers.
