Just wondering if your supposed to split a Fox tail the whole way when you skin them?

Bigcat...they make a tool (Tail splitter guide) that you can slide into the tail once it is removed from the bone that helps split it straight.... it's a piece of metal, folded into a "V", tapered, and makes a real nice job out of splitting a tail that can be used on various critters...

Goose can you split a Grinner tail with this?

Do you think it would work on a Beaver?

I know you ain't never caught a Beaver

but I bet you have been practicing on Muskrats

just in case lightning strikes

so I don't know to much about this stuff
