I have a friend that won a overunder .222/12 gauge at a gun raffle and doesn't have much use for it so he's wiling to sell it to me at a really reasonable price hes letting me test it for youth turkey in west virginia next weekend because u can use both shotgun and rifle down there for spring just wanted to see what u guys thought about these guns for a predator gun I mainly hunt fox but I am going to get more into coyote next year

If you have a 223 make sure you don't get your ammo mixed up. (learned the hard way) Great combo though for predators.

Does it have scope mounts on it already?..  Combo guns...That the important thing.. Getting a good solid base and rings so the scope does not get knocked off by the shotgun blast..I took mine to a good gunsmith and had him place heavy duty mounts and rings on my 24V 223/12.  I'm going to be shooting mine here in a few days once the better weather comes back...222 good predator round by the way..

Yea it has good scope mounts and a decent scope it's only 1-4.5 power so I'd prolly get another scope for it I want to put pics of it on here but can't seem to figure it out computers aren't my strong point lol

Make sure the mounts are high enough to get your thumb on the hammer to cock it.  Thats plenty of scope for that gun.  Good for turkey and predators.  Sometimes the point of impact will be low for the shotgun if you sight it in for the rifle.  Be carefull of that.

It is actually a double trigger system instead of a hammer so the only thing up there is the break open hammer which is plenty far out of the way and do u think the .222 is cabable of shooting out to 300 yards on this gun because that's the only reason I said about getting a higher powered scope with a low power for the 12 gauge

Nice it's an European American Arms EEA combo (Russian).... They sold out to Remington and Rem mfg it as a Spartan arms... heard the EEA are better then the Spartan...The Spartan had some problems with keeping the zero after the shotgun blast... Don't know if it, Spartan configuration  could have been remedied if people got a stronger mount??????


222 would be more like a 250 yarder... It's a good fox gun... If you reload or know someone that does try the 50 grain Combined Technologies 50 grain Silver Tip Ballistic tip..I have been shooting chucks from 200 to 250 yard with the 223 and the silver tips and it's not blowing them up to bad..

The 1-4.5 would be a good for rifle  hunting in the sticks.  However it would work great as a shotgun scope!!!

Yea the gun feels like it was well built and thanks for the advice on the reloading I'll have talk to my grandpa he reloads. Yea the scope is great for the 12 gauge I'd just like to have it at least 9x for the 222 so maybe if I get a scope that is 3-9x it will work out good for both rifle and shotgun?
